Dubai launches growth programme to support digital commerce startups

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Dubai CommerCity is launching a new incubation program for digital commerce startups, giving selected founders access to mentorship, pilot opportunities and potential investors as they look to grow in Dubai.

Applications for the inaugural cohort will open globally on Aug. 10, with the structured program due to begin in October 2026.

The initiative is being run with NQuBator and is designed for startups working in online commerce and related digital business models. It aims to help founders sharpen their ideas, test products and build toward commercial expansion.

Startups chosen for the cohort will receive tailored mentorship, expert guidance, capability-building support and access to industry networks.

Dubai CommerCity said it will also help participants explore pilot projects with corporate partners and connect them to investors and strategic partners through demo days and other engagement events.

The program includes support with business setup, regulatory guidance and market-entry planning through Dubai CommerCity’s wider ecosystem.

Founders and early-stage startups from around the world can apply. The selection process will focus on the opportunities and challenges facing digital commerce businesses and on the potential of applicants to build scalable companies.

Dubai CommerCity is a free zone focused on digital commerce and operates as a joint venture between the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority and Wasl Properties.

The launch adds to Dubai’s broader push to attract founders and strengthen its startup ecosystem. Further details are expected when the application window opens next month.
