Travellers flying between the UAE, Gulf countries and international destinations are facing longer uncertainty as several airlines extend temporary flight suspensions and adjust schedules through August, September and October.
Airlines have cited evolving regional security conditions, airspace restrictions and operational considerations for delaying the return of some services. Passengers with affected bookings have been advised to confirm flight status directly with their airline before travelling.
Several carriers have also introduced flexible options, including rebooking, rerouting and refunds for eligible passengers.
Airlines extend Dubai route suspensions
Air Canada has extended the suspension of flights connecting Toronto with Dubai and Tel Aviv until Oct. 24. Affected passengers can contact the airline to review available alternatives.
Singapore Airlines has also pushed back the return of its Dubai service until Oct. 24, while postponing the launch of its Riyadh route until Dec. 1.
The airline said affected passengers would be offered alternative travel arrangements or refunds for unused portions of their tickets.
Cathay Pacific has delayed the resumption of Dubai flights until Oct. 24 and Riyadh services until Oct. 25. The carrier said customers affected by schedule changes would have options to rebook, reroute or request refunds.
British Airways has kept flights to Dubai, Bahrain, Amman and Tel Aviv suspended until Oct. 31. The airline is also reducing its Doha schedule from Aug. 1 and cutting Riyadh services from two daily flights to one from Aug. 8.
The airline has permanently ended its Jeddah route.
European carriers adjust Middle East schedules
Lufthansa and SWISS will continue suspending Dubai flights until Sept. 13. Other Lufthansa Group services to several Middle East destinations remain affected until Oct. 24.
Air France is expected to resume Dubai operations on July 27, while Riyadh services remain temporarily suspended until July 24 and Beirut flights until Aug. 2.
The airline said any restart of operations would depend on continued assessments of the security situation.
KLM has suspended flights to Dubai, Riyadh and Dammam until Aug. 23, while continuing to avoid certain airspace areas in the region.
Finnair has paused Helsinki-Dubai services until Oct. 24, while its Doha winter schedule remains suspended for commercial reasons.
Asian and regional airlines affected
Singapore Airlines, Philippine Airlines and Scoot have also adjusted schedules involving Gulf destinations.
Philippine Airlines has resumed Manila-Doha flights but continues to suspend Dubai services until Oct. 2.
Scoot has paused Singapore-Jeddah flights until Aug. 8, with passengers able to request refunds or alternative travel arrangements.
Air Astana has suspended flights from Almaty and Astana to Dubai until Aug. 31, citing conditions affecting regional aviation operations. The airline said passengers could request refunds, future rebooking or alternative international routes.
Aegean Airlines has cancelled Dubai flights through Aug. 31, while AirBaltic has suspended services between Riga and Dubai.
Some airlines resume selected services
Not all carriers have maintained suspensions. Turkish Airlines has resumed flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Beirut, Damascus and Amman while continuing to monitor conditions affecting Iran routes.
The airline said additional changes could occur depending on developments in regional airspace conditions.
Wizz Air services to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Amman remain suspended, with operations expected to restart during September.
