UAE mint launches ‘Proud of UAE’ commemorative coin collection in Dubai

DUBAI— Emirates Minting Factory, in collaboration with Dubai Gold District, has launched a limited-edition collection of gold and silver commemorative coins celebrating the “Proud of UAE” campaign.

The collection is available exclusively at Dubai Gold District and is designed to mark a significant moment in the country’s story.

Proceeds from the sales will go to Ferjan Dubai, a social enterprise focused on strengthening community life and social well-being across the emirate.

Essa Al Falasi, chairman of Emirates Minting Factory, said the coins were created as a symbol of unity and appreciation.

“As a UAE-born company, we felt a responsibility to contribute in a meaningful way,” he said. “Each piece reflects the country’s spirit of resilience and support, while also contributing to community initiatives through Ferjan Dubai.”

Alia Al Shamlan, managing director of Ferjan Dubai, said the initiative reflects the UAE’s values of solidarity and social responsibility.

She said the project supports community-focused initiatives and highlights the importance of collaboration between public and private sector entities to improve quality of life.

Al Shamlan added that such partnerships help create a supportive environment for residential communities across Dubai.

Each coin is produced in one-ounce investment-grade gold and silver, with designs inspired by the UAE’s heritage and identity. The collection aims to capture a sense of national pride while offering long-term value to collectors.

Rashid Al Harmoodi, senior commercial director at Ithra Dubai, described the initiative as a tribute to unity and resilience.

“At Dubai Gold District, we are proud to partner on an initiative that reflects the UAE’s spirit and contributes to the wider community,” he said.
