Serbian President welcomes Sheikh Mohamed during Belgrade visit

BELGRADE, Serbia — UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Serbia on Thursday for an official working visit, as part of continued diplomatic engagement between the two countries.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić welcomed Sheikh Mohamed upon his arrival at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, according to the UAE’s official news agency, WAM.

The visit comes as the UAE continues to expand its international partnerships and strengthen relations with countries across Europe.

Sheikh Mohamed was accompanied by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, deputy chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, along with Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, adviser to the UAE president, and several ministers and senior officials.

During the visit, UAE and Serbian officials are expected to discuss areas of mutual interest and explore opportunities to further develop bilateral cooperation.

The UAE and Serbia have maintained growing ties in recent years, with cooperation spanning investment, trade, infrastructure, energy and other strategic sectors.

The visit is part of the UAE’s broader diplomatic efforts to deepen partnerships with international allies and strengthen economic and political cooperation.
