FIA partners with Hankook in safety, sustainability drive

DUBAI, Jan 26, 2026 (GDM) – The Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) announced Monday a new global partnership with tyre maker Hankook to boost safety and sustainable innovation in motorsport and mobility.

The South Korean company, a supplier to the all-electric Formula E and World Rally Championships, has joined the FIA’s Global Partner Programme, the governing body said in a statement.

FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem said the deal reflected a shared focus on “sustainability and technological innovation.”

Hankook will partner the FIA’s annual awards and its Sustainable Innovation Series, which seeks to transfer motorsport technology to everyday vehicles.

The partnership runs from 2026 through 2028.
