Schneider Electric Dubai HQ gets top sustainability certifications

DUBAI, Jan 26, 2025 (GDM) – Energy technology firm Schneider Electric said Monday its Dubai headquarters, known as “The NEST”, has achieved top international certifications for sustainability and inclusive design.

The office received LEED Platinum status for its environmental performance and a WELL Equity rating for its focus on fairness and accessibility, the company said in a statement.

The building, which houses over 1,000 employees, uses on-site solar power and smart building systems to cut energy costs by 48% and reduce carbon emissions by 572 metric tons annually, Schneider Electric said.

“The NEST embodies our vision of what intelligent buildings should deliver: spaces that are climate-responsible, digitally enabled, and fundamentally designed around people,” said Amel Chadli, President for the Gulf cluster.

The certifications position the office as a regional benchmark as Middle Eastern governments push net-zero targets.
