RAS AL KHAIMAH, UAE — Ras Al Khaimah is calling on citizens and residents to help attract international visitors through a new community-focused tourism initiative offering selected travel and leisure deals.
The Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry launched the RAK Ambassador program Tuesday, with registration open to UAE citizens and residents aged 18 and older.
The initiative runs from Aug. 19 through Oct. 31, 2026, and allows registered participants to nominate friends or relatives from overseas to visit the emirate.
Guests must have their details submitted before entering the UAE and must arrive on a tourist visa or through visa-on-arrival eligibility.
Hotels, attractions and dining deals
Participating visitors will have access to offers covering several parts of Ras Al Khaimah’s tourism sector.
The benefits include discounted hotel stays, reduced-price entry to major attractions, restaurant and cafe offers, and deals on marine experiences and desert safari activities.
Additional benefits include selected luxury vehicle rental offers and shopping deals at Al Manar Mall.
The Chamber said residents can nominate more than one overseas guest under the program, subject to the initiative’s registration requirements.
The campaign is intended to use existing community connections to introduce more international travellers to Ras Al Khaimah while supporting businesses operating across hospitality, retail, dining and leisure.
Part of RAK’s tourism growth strategy
The program forms part of Ras Al Khaimah’s wider efforts to expand its tourism economy and attract visitors from international markets.
Ras Al Khaimah has been developing its mix of mountain, beach, adventure, cultural and hospitality attractions as it works toward the objectives of Ras Al Khaimah Vision 2030.
Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest mountain, is among the emirate’s best-known natural attractions, while Al Marjan Island has become a major hub for resorts, waterfront development and leisure activities.
The emirate is also positioning itself as a destination for adventure tourism, with activities ranging from mountain experiences and hiking to ziplining, water sports and desert excursions.
The Chamber said the RAK Ambassador initiative is designed to increase visitor numbers and spending while giving residents a direct role in supporting the local economy.
It also brings tourism businesses, government-linked organisations and the wider community into the same campaign, with the Chamber describing the approach as a public-private sector partnership.
How the program works
UAE citizens and residents who meet the age requirement can register as RAK Ambassadors through the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Registered ambassadors can then nominate overseas visitors before their arrival in the UAE. The participating guests can subsequently access the available offers during their stay.
The campaign is scheduled to continue through Oct. 31, giving residents several weeks to invite friends and relatives to experience the emirate.
As Ras Al Khaimah continues pursuing its 2030 tourism and investment ambitions, the initiative adds a community-led element to its efforts to strengthen the emirate’s profile among international travellers.
