du launches UAE back-to-school offers with discounts up to 50%

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates: UAE telecom operator du has introduced a new back-to-school promotion offering discounts of up to 50% on selected mobile plans, alongside savings on home internet services and additional mobile data.

The campaign comes ahead of the new academic year, when families and students typically reassess their mobile, broadband and connectivity needs.

Under the promotion, selected Power Plans are available at discounts of up to 50% for six months, according to du.

Customers subscribing to annual prepaid Flexi plans can also receive an additional 60GB of data, giving students and other mobile users more data for studying, communication and everyday use.

The operator has extended the campaign to home connectivity. Selected Home Fibre plans are offered with a 20% discount, while Home Wireless plans carry a 10% discount.

A range of devices and accessories is also included in the back-to-school campaign.

The offers are particularly relevant for UAE households preparing for the return to classrooms, with smartphones, laptops, tablets and home internet increasingly forming part of students’ daily academic routines.

du’s current online store also lists discounted Flexi plans and home internet offers, although customers should check the applicable terms, contract periods and eligibility before subscribing.

The promotion reflects a broader shift in how telecom services are positioned around the school year, with connectivity now supporting not only communication but also digital classrooms, online research, educational platforms and family coordination.

For UAE residents comparing plans before the academic year begins, the main considerations will include the duration of each discount, data allowances, contract commitments and any applicable taxes or additional charges.

The latest offers add another option for families looking to manage connectivity costs as schools and universities across the UAE prepare for the 2026-27 academic year.
