DUBAI, United Arab Emirates: Parkin is offering Dubai motorists a wider range of parking subscription options, giving regular commuters an alternative to paying for individual parking sessions each time they leave their cars in public spaces.
The plans cover selected roadside, plot, developer and multistorey parking locations, with prices and availability varying by area. Parkin’s current subscription platform allows motorists to select their location and compare available durations and parking types before purchasing.
The subscriptions are not entirely new to Dubai. Parkin has offered seasonal parking products previously, but its current platform brings multiple subscription categories and locations together, including plans for commuters, students and employees of private educational institutions.
How much do Parkin subscriptions cost?
The current Parkin website lists roadside and plot subscriptions across zones A, B, C and D starting at Dh525 per month. Plans for plots-only parking in zones B and D start at Dh262.50 per month and can cover up to three vehicles, subject to the applicable terms.
Other location-specific plans are also available. Parkin lists subscriptions for areas including Dubai Maritime City, Damac Hills, Dubai Hills, Wasl Gate, Dubai Studio City, Dubai Sports City, Dubai International Academic City and International City.
The company also offers plans for students and employees of private educational establishments, with access to eligible parking areas within a 500-meter radius of the relevant campus or workplace.

Could a subscription be cheaper?
That depends largely on how often you park.
Dubai’s public parking charges vary by zone and time. Parkin currently lists standard rates ranging from Dh2.10 to Dh6.30 per hour, with premium parking and peak-hour charges applying in designated areas.
For example, a motorist paying Dh4.20 an hour for eight hours of parking would spend Dh33.60 for a single day. Over 20 working days, that would amount to about Dh672.
A Dh525 monthly subscription for an eligible roadside and plot plan would therefore represent a potential saving of about Dh147 over that 20-day period, assuming the same parking conditions and that the subscription fully covers the driver’s usual parking location.
The calculation changes considerably for motorists who park for fewer hours, commute only a few days a week or use lower-cost parking areas.
Where can subscribers park?
A subscription does not provide unrestricted access to every paid parking space in Dubai.
Parkin specifies which zones and parking types are covered by each plan. For example, roadside and plots subscriptions apply to designated zones, while plots-only plans are restricted to eligible plots. Developer parking areas have separate arrangements.
The company also states that a roadside and plots subscription cannot be used in developer parking areas such as certain TECOM or Dubai Silicon Oasis locations. Multistorey parking subscriptions likewise cannot be used for ordinary public parking spaces.
This makes checking the exact parking zone an important step before committing to a longer plan.
Who is most likely to benefit?
A subscription is most likely to make financial sense for motorists who park for several hours on most working days and repeatedly use the same eligible area.
It may be less attractive for hybrid workers, people who typically park for one or two hours, or motorists who regularly switch between different parts of Dubai.
Drivers who have access to free parking, private building parking or residential permits should also factor those alternatives into the calculation.
Subscriptions do not override parking rules
Having a subscription does not mean motorists can ignore Dubai’s parking regulations.
Drivers must still use spaces covered by their plan and comply with applicable restrictions. Parkin says its subscription products are intended to allow repeated parking in eligible spaces without separate payment for each covered session.
The service can therefore reduce the need to make individual payments and may make costs easier to predict, but it does not guarantee that a parking space will be available.
Dubai parking costs continue to vary by demand
Dubai introduced a variable parking tariff system in 2025, with different charges based on factors including parking classification and peak periods. Premium spaces in high-demand locations can carry higher rates.
For motorists, that makes the choice between pay-as-you-go parking and a subscription increasingly dependent on their regular parking pattern rather than simply the number of days they drive.
The simplest calculation is to add up what you normally spend on parking over a month and compare it with the subscription available for your specific area.
For frequent commuters using an eligible location, the fixed monthly cost can offer savings. For occasional drivers, paying only when they park may still be the more economical option.
