ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates (June 30, 2025) — Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has kicked off the summer season with six seasonal destinations, including a new route to Al Alamein in Egypt.
As part of its expanding summer network, Etihad will launch flights to Al Alamein (DBB) on July 17, with two weekly flights to the Mediterranean coastal city known for its natural beauty and cultural significance. The destination is expected to attract travelers seeking both relaxation and adventure.
In addition to the new route, Etihad has resumed seasonal flights to five popular European destinations: Nice, Malaga, Mykonos, Santorini and Antalya.
Nice (NCE), located along the French Riviera, serves as a key access point to the Côte d’Azur. Malaga (AGP) provides a gateway to Andalucía, connecting travelers to both coastal and inland destinations, including Marbella, Seville, Cordoba and Granada.
Travelers looking for Greek island escapes can enjoy direct flights to Santorini (JTR) and Mykonos (JMK), offering iconic views, whitewashed architecture and crystal-clear waters.
Etihad also relaunched service to Antalya (AYT) on June 17. The popular Turkish coastal resort is known for its warm weather, turquoise sea and historic charm.
To mark the season’s first flights, guests on all six routes received limited-edition Summer Fun Kits, which included a branded cooler bag, an inflatable beach ball, a microfiber beach towel, a Voss water bottle and a gift booklet.
Guests were also welcomed onboard with a summer-inspired experience, including tailored entertainment via the airline’s E-Box in-flight entertainment system. The platform now features new destination-inspired content aimed at immersing passengers in their summer journey from takeoff to landing.
