Vida Aljada brings five-star luxury to Sharjah

SHARJAH— Sharjah is poised to strengthen its position as one of the UAE’s fastest-growing tourism and lifestyle destinations with the arrival of Vida Aljada, a new five-star hotel that promises to blend luxury, creativity, and community living in the emirate’s landmark Aljada development.

Scheduled to open later this year, the hotel will become one of only two five-star properties under Emaar Hospitality Group’s Vida Hotels and Resorts brand in the UAE, marking a significant milestone for both the brand and Sharjah’s evolving hospitality sector.

The opening reflects a broader transformation underway in Sharjah, where investment in tourism, culture, and mixed-use developments is reshaping the visitor experience while complementing the emirate’s long-standing reputation as the UAE’s cultural capital.

Situated in Aljada’s creative district, Vida Aljada is designed to be more than a conventional hotel. Instead, it aims to function as a lifestyle hub where travelers, entrepreneurs, students, artists, and local residents can gather, work, relax, and connect.

Its location places guests within easy reach of major destinations, including University City, Sharjah Airport Free Zone, Sharjah Corniche and Dubai International Airport, making it attractive to both leisure and business travelers.

Unlike traditional luxury hotels that focus primarily on accommodation, Vida Aljada has been conceived around flexibility and social interaction.

The property will feature guestrooms, suites and extended-stay residences, catering to weekend visitors, business travelers and guests planning longer stays. Public spaces are being designed to encourage movement and interaction, while still providing quiet corners for relaxation or remote work.

Dining venues will also play a central role in the guest experience. Rather than functioning as standalone restaurants, cafés and outdoor gathering spaces are intended to flow naturally into one another, creating an environment where people can linger throughout the day.

Wellness is another key element of the concept, with facilities designed to balance fitness, relaxation and everyday wellbeing.

The hotel forms part of the wider Aljada master development, which has rapidly emerged as one of Sharjah’s most ambitious urban projects. Combining residential neighborhoods, retail, entertainment, educational institutions, and cultural attractions, Aljada is increasingly positioning itself as a destination where people can live, work, and spend leisure time without leaving the community.

For travelers, the addition of Vida Aljada offers another reason to consider Sharjah as more than a day-trip destination from Dubai. The emirate has steadily expanded its appeal through museums, heritage districts, waterfront developments, and family attractions while investing in modern hospitality infrastructure.

Vida’s design philosophy emphasizes simplicity, warmth and creativity, targeting modern travelers seeking authentic experiences rather than conventional luxury. That approach has helped the brand build a loyal following across Dubai and regional markets.

For Emaar Hospitality Group, the Sharjah opening also signals continued expansion beyond Dubai as demand grows for lifestyle hotels across the Gulf.

As tourism in the UAE continues to diversify beyond its traditional gateways, projects such as Vida Aljada reflect how destinations are increasingly combining hospitality, culture and urban living into integrated experiences—offering visitors not just a place to stay, but a neighborhood to explore.
