MUSCAT, Oman: Omani citizens can travel to Botswana without a visa for stays of up to 90 days, according to Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The exemption applies to holders of all types of Omani passports, giving travelers a longer visa-free option for exploring the southern African country.
Botswana confirmed that Oman is not included among the nationalities required to obtain a visa before traveling, the ministry said.
Passport requirements apply
Although a visa is not required, Omani travelers must meet Botswana’s entry conditions.
Passports should be valid for at least six months from the date of entry and have a minimum of three blank pages.
Travelers have also been advised to arrange health insurance covering their entire stay in Botswana.
Check requirements before departure
The visa-free arrangement provides Omani citizens with access to Botswana for visits of up to 90 days, but travelers remain responsible for meeting all applicable immigration and entry requirements.
The Foreign Ministry has urged citizens to verify the latest conditions before departure to avoid complications when arriving in Botswana.
For travelers from Oman, the change adds another southern African destination that can be visited without securing a visa in advance, potentially making longer leisure and safari trips easier to plan.
