DUBAI, United Arab Emirates: Dubai International Airport is adding complimentary treats, live music and interactive activities for passengers travelling through Terminal 3 this August, as the airport welcomes residents returning from summer trips and visitors arriving in Dubai.
The experiences are also aimed at transit passengers, with activities planned across baggage claim, arrivals and transfer areas.
Welcome home at Terminal 3
Families and friends waiting for arriving passengers can create personalised welcome signs at a dedicated station. The activity allows visitors to decorate messages with stickers and Dubai-themed elements before meeting arriving travellers.
Passengers leaving the airport by Dubai Taxi can also receive complimentary refreshments, cold towels and treats from participating local brands and airport partners.
The offerings include refreshments and snacks from Mirzam, Emirati District, Emirates Flight Catering and other DXB partners.
Live music and treats for connecting passengers
Travellers making connections through Terminal 3 can encounter live music inspired by regional sounds, adding an entertainment element to the airport’s transfer areas.
Complimentary refreshments and treats will also be available at selected transfer desks, with offerings from Project Chaiwala, Mirzam, Emirati District and Garrett Popcorn.
For younger travellers arriving at Terminal 3, the experience includes appearances by mascots associated with Dubai Police and the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs. Live music will also be featured in the arrivals area.
An interactive Dubai experience
Passengers can also visit the I Heart DXB installation near Gate B28.
Travellers can upload a selfie to become part of a collective portrait of Dubai displayed in the colors of the UAE flag. Visitors can also write messages of pride and gratitude and receive limited-edition stickers and pins.
The initiative comes during a busy period for Dubai’s airport, when many UAE residents are returning from summer holidays while international visitors continue to pass through the city.
For expatriate families, the airport is often the first meeting point after weeks or months apart, making arrival areas particularly significant during the summer travel season.
Dubai International Airport is also a major transit hub for passengers travelling between the Gulf, Asia, Europe and other international destinations. The August activities are designed to give both arriving and connecting passengers a more distinctly Dubai-focused welcome.
The experiences will continue throughout August at Terminal 3, giving travellers several opportunities to encounter the activities during their journey through DXB.
