BCCI participates in SMEs Regional Conference

MANAMA– Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Support Centre of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and industry (BCCI) has participated in SME Regional Conference themed (Chambers of Industry and Commerce and Business Associations: Drivers of change), which was held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The Forum aimed to identify the role of Chambers of Industry and Commerce and business associations in promoting the developmental process, in addition to supporting SMEs that have proven competence in supporting economic growth and stability and their contributions to finding solutions to poverty and unemployment issues. 

BCCI said in a statement that the Forum tackled five centers related to SMEs, including growth and challenges opportunities, financing SMEs, addressing major challenges, services to empower SMEs and innovation as a way toward the future. 

The statement added that the Forum produced a number of recommendations to develop a roadmap to support SMEs and to motivate sponsors. 

It added that the Jordanian side expressed keenness to develop cooperation and exchange expertise with SME Support Center. -BNA
