Symposium on late Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa opened

MANAMA- Isa Cultural Centre Board of Trustees Chairman and Honorary President of the Secretariat General of the GCC countries’ Documents and Studies Centres Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa said the two-day symposium which kick-started today at Isa Cultural Centre, in Juffair, on the history of late Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa is a tribute to Bahrain’s founder.

_FMH3507360360_0Speaking in the opening ceremony of the symposium, he lauded generosity, chivalry and wisdom of Bahrain ruler late Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa and his ability to steer Bahrain to security and stability. He also pointed out strong relations of mutual respect between him and late King Abdulaziz bin Saud of Saudi Arabia. 

He described the symposium, which coincides with the 28th periodic meeting of the Secretariat General of the GCC countries’ Documents and Studies Centres, as an opportunity to spotlight the prosperous era of late Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa.

A documentary on the life of late Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa was presented and, then, a gallery of rare documents and manuscripts on his era was opened.-BNA
