Saudi Arabia launches one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Saudi Arabia has launched a new multiple-entry Umrah visa that allows visitors to make repeated trips to the Kingdom over a one-year period.

The visa is valid for 365 days from the date it is issued and allows a total stay of up to 90 days during that time, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah said the move is meant to make travel easier, improve the pilgrim experience and support wider service reforms under Saudi Vision 2030.

Under the new system, travelers must purchase a service package from an approved provider through the Nusuk platform before each visit. They must also secure an Umrah permit through the app before arriving in Saudi Arabia.

The visa will be deactivated once a traveler leaves the Kingdom and can be reactivated for a later visit if the required conditions are met.

It will not be valid during the Hajj season, which runs from the first of Dhu Al-Qadah until the 13th of Dhu Al-Hijjah.

Saudi officials said the change is intended to create more flexibility for pilgrims while keeping the process tied to the country’s digital services platform. The measure also fits into the broader plan to streamline entry procedures and improve the overall pilgrimage journey.

For Muslim travelers in the UAE and across the GCC, the new visa could make it easier to plan multiple Umrah visits within a single year.
