Sharjah Media Academy Launches 9th Edition of ‘Future Media Professional’ Summer Programme

SHARJAH, (6 July 2025) – The Sharjah Media Academy, part of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA), will launch the ninth edition of its “Future Media Professional” summer programme on Monday, running through 31 July.

Aimed at nurturing young talent in media, the programme offers immersive, hands-on training across multiple locations, including SBA headquarters, Al Wusta TV in Al Dhaid, and Al Sharqiya TV in Kalba.

Participants aged 11 to 18 will engage in six specialist courses covering TV presenting, radio hosting, voice acting, content creation for social media, AI in media, and smartphone-based filming and editing. Sessions run Sunday to Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., blending theory with fieldwork inside real studios.

Shaimaa Abdullah Abdulrahim, Director of Sharjah Media Academy, said the ninth edition of the programme is a cornerstone in the academy’s mission to cultivate a conscious, creative media generation. She added that this year’s added focus on AI and digital platforms reflects the shifting demands of the media industry and the importance of future-ready skills.

Led by experienced professionals, the programme aims to inspire young participants and prepare them for a fast-evolving digital landscape by equipping them with practical, in-demand knowledge and exposure.
