Arab India Spices opens AED150 million pulses storage facility in Hamriyah Free Zone

SHARJAH- The new facility opened up in Sharjah Hamriya Free Zone by a well known food stuff company – Arab India Spices- can store, process  and feed the entire population of UAE for at least 6 months with a huge volume of more than 52,000 metric tons of pulses  and  lentils at the best international standards.

The 12 SILOs (huge storage houses) erected at the Free Zone’s Phase 2 area with an investment of more than AED 150 million, were opened by  Sheikh Khalid Bin Abdullah Al Qassimi (Chairman of Sharjah Sea Ports & Customs ) jointly with   many other top officials from different spheres of the society in presence of Harish Tahiliani – Managing Director Arab India Spices and its chairman Kumarbhai Tahiliani.

The SILOs were placed by the finest technology from Turkey ( MYSILO ) and ensuring the global standards of keeping the Pulses & Lentils at its designated parameters in temperature , cleanliness and durability.  A Fully automated loading and unloading system is in place for storage and delivery in wholesale, mentioned Harish Tahiliani.

UAE, Canada, Turkey are the concerned countries in this mega project as Canada supply bulk quantities of Pulses & Lentils from the original agricultural sources to the UAE. All the farm growing countries are involved in sending their shipments to Sharjah now as part of this SILO project which can ensure a bigger role in keeping the food security of UAE at its best. Arab India Spices- as a company undertake the bulk quantity purchase of the grains from the sources of active working agricultural fields with specified quality control using local farmers and agents, said Harish Tahiliani.

We even care & check about the way of cultivation the farmers used to do  including fertilizers, quality of the soil and their quality of basic seed storage facilities also for improving the security measures of the Pulses & Lentils, he mentioned.

In addition to the traditional Wholesale Food business and bulk brand 777, recently Arab India Spices has come up with the retail brand RK Pulses & Spices, Soorya Batter for Breakfast requirements also.
