Qatar’s ‘SoundBeat’ Anthem Resonates Beyond Major Cup Final

DOHA, Qatar, Jan. 27 (GDM) – Media City Qatar’s national anthem, “Nabd Qatar,” continues its cultural reach months after its high-profile debut, uniting Arab audiences far beyond football.

The orchestral piece premiered at the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 final in Lusail Stadium on Qatar National Day. It has since surpassed one million views online, platforming on YouTube, Spotify, and Anghami.

Conceived by composer Omar Rahbany and produced by licensed firm Rahbani 3.0, the work features the 68-member Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra. It incorporates traditional Gulf Ardha chants and sonic motifs from desert winds to falcon flight.

Lyrics stem from a public 2024 campaign, with a supporting video by director Karim Rahbani extending its narrative.

“We turned Qatar’s raw sounds into a statement on an international stage,” said H.E. Sheikh Dr. Abdulla bin Ali Al Thani, Chairman of Media City Qatar. “It signals to the region’s creators that the future of Arab media is being shaped here.”

Rahbany said the project carried “the weight of a nation’s story,” crafted with intention down to phonetic elements mimicking a heartbeat.

The initiative underscores Media City Qatar’s growing ecosystem, now hosting over 300 media, content, and innovation firms.
