ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates — Qasr Al Watan has been recognised as one of the world’s leading travel experiences for 2026, featuring in Trip.com’s Top 100 Global Attractions & Experiences and Top 100 Attractions & Experiences in Asia rankings.
The Abu Dhabi landmark was selected based on visitor feedback and performance measures, highlighting its growing reputation as a major cultural destination in the UAE.
Located within the Presidential Palace complex, Qasr Al Watan offers visitors an insight into the country’s heritage, governance, craftsmanship and traditions through its architecture and exhibitions.
One of the palace’s most notable features is the Great Hall, which showcases Arabian design elements and houses one of the world’s largest central domes. The Spirit of Collaboration chamber, where high-level regional meetings are held, features an elaborate chandelier made with 350,000 crystal pieces.
Visitors can also explore the Presidential Gifts exhibition, which displays items presented to UAE leaders by international delegations, as well as the Presidential Banquet hall, which highlights Emirati hospitality traditions through a collection of more than 100,000 pieces of serveware.
The Qasr Al Watan Library contains more than 50,000 books and publications covering the region’s literary and scholarly history. The Golden Ink exhibition also offers visitors a look at rare Arabic and Islamic manuscripts.
Beyond its exhibitions, the palace hosts regular cultural programmes, including the Military Music Show held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 2:30 p.m. The daily Palace in Motion light and sound show, presented at 7:30 p.m., explores the UAE’s journey from its heritage to its future ambitions.
The latest recognition adds to Abu Dhabi’s expanding portfolio of cultural attractions as the emirate continues to promote heritage, arts and immersive visitor experiences.
Qasr Al Watan is expected to continue welcoming visitors through its exhibitions, performances and educational programmes, strengthening its role as a gateway to understanding Emirati culture and history.
