Mubadala named Middle East Finance Team of the Year

DUBAI- The Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), the global association of accountants and financial professionals in business,announced Mubadala Development Company (Mubadala) as the winner of the IMA Finance Team of the Year Award 2014 on May 17th,2014.

The award, which was open to finance teams from across the Middle East region working in a range of industries, was presented at a ceremony during the IMA-Marcus Evans 6th Annual CFO Forum, which took place at the Address Hotel, Dubai Marina.

The Mubadala team was chosen as the winner by a panel of industry experts including senior leaders from IMA, based on their business partnering success, use of management accounting best practices, work environment, ethics and innovation.

James Amos, Associate Director Finance, at Mubadala, said: “It is a tremendous honour to collect this award on behalf of the Mubadala Finance Team, which has successfully transitioned from a traditional support function at the end of the value chain to become a true business partner, capable of driving corporate performance and delivering real value. IMA Finance Team of the Year Awards were launched as part of the IMA–Marcus Evans 6th Annual CFO Forum, which is an event dedicated to exploring the changing role of the CFO in the Middle East, featuring high profile speakers from across the region and the rest of the world.
