How UAE residents can make the most of Jaywan card discounts and rewards

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — UAE residents using the country’s national Jaywan payment card can access a growing range of discounts and lifestyle benefits covering travel, dining, shopping, entertainment and wellness, offering another way to reduce everyday expenses.

Developed by Al Etihad Payments, the UAE’s domestic card scheme is accepted for retail purchases, online payments, ATM withdrawals and government transactions. Beyond everyday banking, participating banks also offer cardholders access to exclusive promotions, although benefits vary depending on the issuing bank and card tier.

Travel savings and hotel discounts

Among the most valuable benefits are travel-related offers available on eligible Prestige and Royal cards.

Cardholders may receive discounts on selected Trip.com flight and hotel bookings, while eligible fares on Air Arabia and Etihad Airways can also qualify for promotional savings. Since discounts apply only to specific fare categories, travellers are advised to compare the final ticket price, baggage allowances, cancellation policies and other inclusions before booking.

Some premium Jaywan cards also include Priority Pass membership, providing access to participating airport lounges worldwide. Complimentary visits and guest privileges differ by bank, making it important for customers to review their issuer’s terms before travelling.

Shopping protection and insurance

Depending on the card issuer, Jaywan users may also benefit from purchase protection, extended warranties and travel insurance on eligible transactions.

Coverage typically varies between banks and card tiers, with conditions relating to how purchases are made and the type of expenses covered. Cardholders should review policy documents carefully before relying on these benefits.

Dining, entertainment and lifestyle offers

Jaywan users can also save on leisure spending through participating merchants.

Available promotions include cinema ticket offers at Reel Cinemas, dining discounts and buy-one-get-one-free deals through the Jaywan Entertainer platform across restaurants, hotels, attractions and wellness providers.

Some Royal cardholders may also qualify for a complimentary Careem+ membership for a limited period, depending on their issuing bank’s offer.

Check your bank’s benefits first

Not every Jaywan card includes the same rewards. Benefits differ according to the issuing bank, account type and whether customers hold a Standard, Prestige or Royal card.

Before making major travel bookings or purchases, residents are encouraged to review the latest offers through their bank or the official Jaywan programme, confirm any eligibility requirements and keep receipts if claims or promotional redemptions are required.

As more UAE banks adopt the national payment scheme, the range of available discounts and lifestyle benefits is expected to continue expanding.
