DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — Dubai’s Palm Monorail has reopened after a six-month maintenance closure, restoring a major transport link across Palm Jumeirah.
The operator announced the return of service on social media, telling riders the line was back in operation and inviting them to use the route again across the island.
The monorail had been suspended in January for scheduled station maintenance. During the closure, passengers were advised to rely on taxis and other transport options.
The elevated line stretches 5.5 kilometers from Gateway Station at the entrance to Palm Jumeirah to Atlantis Aquaventure. It also stops at Golden Mile Galleria, Al Ittihad Park and Palm Jumeirah Mall.
A full ride takes about nine minutes, while the travel time between stations is roughly three minutes.
Tickets start at Dh10 for a one-way trip and Dh15 for a return journey. Family and unlimited travel passes are also available through the operator’s booking channels.
Trains now run every 15 minutes. The first departure from Gateway Station is at 9 a.m., and the final train leaves at 9:45 p.m. Services from Atlantis Aquaventure begin at 9:15 a.m., with the last departure at 10 p.m.
The resumption restores a popular mobility option for residents, hotel guests and visitors traveling to and from Palm Jumeirah. Further updates on service and ticketing are expected through the operator’s official channels.
