Jumeirah Group launches mobile careers site to attract the region’s top talent

DUBAI-  Jumeirah Group has launched a mobile careers site to enhance the recruitment process, making it easier for candidates to apply for jobs on mobile devices.

As the world increasingly relies on digital platforms and the talent acquisition landscape changes,Jumeirah Group’s career website started to attract a significant share of traffic from candidates using mobile devices.

unnamed (3)This prompted the Group to adapt its recruitment strategy and launch a fully mobile-compatible career website with Cazar – a leading recruitment solutions company.

The latest careers website has been redesigned to reflect new candidate expectations and can adapt itself to different platforms including iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Mobile, Blackberry devices and can also be viewed in older versions and desktops.

This offers mobile candidates easy reading and navigation with minimum need to resize or scroll through the page. The mobile website instantly connects candidates with the information they are looking for as opposed to an app which would need to be downloaded and require more effort to access.

Jumeirah Group Chief Human Capital Officer, Nabil M. Ramadhan, said: “With increasing competition for talent both in the Gulf region and internationally, at a time of unprecedented growth in the hospitality industry, having a strong employer brand together with an effective digital presence is a key prerequisite for attracting and retaining the best talent. Jumeirah is one of the fastest growing luxury brands in the world and by enhancing our recruitment process with the new mobile friendly website, we strive to continually attract the world’s best talent.”

The mobile career website enables candidates to search the interactive vacancy map, complete the application process, check the status and manage an application, manage interview time slots and modify personal details.

The website is available in English and the application process is offered in both English and Arabic. Upcoming features will include the ability to upload a CV via Dropbox, Google drive and other cloud storage providers. This will be particularly useful for iPhone users.

In 2004, Jumeirah was one of the first employers in the Middle East to invest in e-recruitment by implementing Cazar’s Sniperhire platform to centralise, streamline and automate the entire hiring process.

Potential candidates should check the Jumeirah.com website and register on the careers portal.
