Go Red for Women visits Mall of the Emirates

bb85637ca655eb63_orgDUBAI- Women are urged to visit Mall of the Emirates, Central Galleria this coming weekend on Friday May 9th or Saturday May 10th between 10:00am-7:00pm and get heart health tested for free.  The drive is part of Go Red for Women, a global campaign founded by the American Heart Association to raise awareness of the world’s number one killer of women – cardiovascular disease.

Medical specialists from the Ministry of Health and City Centre Clinic will be administering a series of preventative tests for all females, checking blood pressure, blood sugar, body mass index (BMI) and cholesterol levels to determine if they are at risk for heart disease. Women who show signs of risk, will be referred for further consultation. With the aim to raise awareness of heart disease, Go Red for Women is empowering women in the community to take control of their heart health through early detection and preventative measures.
