Culinary delights at Abu Dhabi – El Chico opens in Dalma Mall

1ABU DHABI- A treat for Mexican food lovers of Abu Dhabi is the opening of El Chico at Dalma Mall. Operated by the nation’s leading Hospitality Group, Saleh Bin Lahej Group-Hospitality Division (SBLG-HD), this marks the second strategically located El Chico in UAE.

Celebrating Mexican tradition for over 85 years, El Chico first debuted at the Kaufman County Fair in Texas in 1926. The first restaurant was opened 14 years later. El Chico made its maiden appearance in Dubai in 2008, opening in The Walk in Jumeirah Beach Residence in celebration of the most colorful and joyous festivity in Mexico, Cinco De Mayo.

2With a total dining area of 317sq m, El Chico has the capacity to seat 130 customers. The interior is designed with a signature rustic ambience which includes wooden chairs, brick pillars and open bar.  El Chico is the right place to soak in an authentic Mexican experience.  With a menu featuring fare such as Top Shelf Guacamole, Revolutionary Steak Taco, Grand Brisket Burrito and the Top Shelf Fajita, El Chico is all set to woo palates.

“El Chico is an exciting brand that promises great quality of food and a fun atmosphere to dine. We aim to duplicate the success we have in Dubai to Abu Dhabi where we hope to raise the standard in international dining,” said Mr. Mohammed Saleh Bin Lahej, Group CEO.

“We are pleased by the opening of another El Chico restaurant in the region. Our partner, Saleh Bin Lahej Group, is an outstanding restaurateur,” said Mr. John D. Harkey, Jr. CEO of El Chico parent company, US-based Consolidated Restaurant Operations, Inc.
