Acer unveils two 11.6-inch notebooks with distinctive FlowCurve and fanless design

DUBAI-  Acer unveils two new 11.6-inch notebooks, the Acer Aspire V 11 (touch) and E 11, which feature a distinctive FlowCurve and fan-less design for stylish computing that’s also cool and quiet. The thin and light notebooks are ideal for the young and fashionable who require technology that looks and fulfills all their infotainment needs on the go.

The new thin and light 11.6-inch notebooks combine impressive computing power with up to 1 TB of storage space, Windows 8.1 tools for great productivity and entertainment and a choice of color options to display users’ individual flair.

Stylish, smart and quiet by design

The distinctive FlowCurve design creates a unique aesthetic look and feel, making the Acer Aspire E 11 and V 11 both stylish and functional. This elegant design features an external rear curve that continues in the interior, thereby creating a visual flow that’s unique and stands out in a crowd. The top cover with hairline brush pattern tops off the design with an attractive and smooth finish. Designed with fan-less technology and cool-running processing, the notebooks stay comfortably cool to touch and whisper-quiet.

Light yet sizeable for productivity on the go

Packing all the speed and storage features for everyday computing in a slim and light design, the notebooks measure 21.2 mm thin and weigh 1.29 kg (2.84 lbs.) and easily fit in a bag to bring along everywhere. Up to 1 TB of hard drive provides huge storage space for storing all the movies, music and photos.

Infotainment features comparable with larger notebooks

Intel Pentium Quad Core and Intel Celeron CPUs provide plenty of power for doing work or watching movies and chatting with family and friends around the globe. Up to 8 GB memory helps multiple applications run smoothly and fast, while the built-in high-performance 10/100/1000 Gigabit LAN port provides fast internet speed for smooth web browsing and transfer rates of up to 10 times faster than ordinary LAN.

The Acer Aspire V 11 touch and E 11 notebooks with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution HD display feature a full-sized keyboard that’s typically offered with larger 13-inch notebooks for a comfortable typing and navigation experience. They are equipped with the Precision Touchpad that supports Windows 8.1 TouchPad gestures, reducing un-intended motions and improving pinch-to-zoom, smoother scrolling and screen navigation.

Two optimized speakers provide powerful, more realistic and lifelike audio quality similar to that of larger size notebooks, allowing users to pump up the volume.

All the essential ports, including USB 3.0 and HDMI® are thoughtfully placed on the rear of the notebook to keep the workspace clear of cables. While frequently-used I/O connectors like audio jack, USB ports, and SD card slot are placed on the left side for easy access.

The integrated AcerCloud allows access to remotely stored photos, music, videos and documents via the internet. Users simply click the icon – Acer Photo, Acer Docs, Acer Media, Acer Remote Files – and get access to their remote files anywhere.
