Successful donation drive brings smiles to needy women and children

Image (3)DUBAI- The big smiles all around the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) said it all.

It is mission accomplished for Right Bite with the recent distribution of donated items to DFWAC, a fitting conclusion to the successful run of the “Help Us Fill the Bag” campaign.

An initiative carried out throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan, Help Us Fill the Bag received generous donations of much needed essentials from Right Bite subscribers, as well as other members of the community who were not on any Right Bite program but warmly received the appeal and supported the cause.

At the end of the campaign, total amount of donations summed up to around 240 bags, with clothing items, snacks, shoes, toys, disposable plates and cutlery, and toiletries making up the bulk of the contributions.

Image (2)So overwhelming was the response to the drive that donors, in addition to filling up cooler bags, gladly dropped off more items in separate bags at the Right Bite Nutrition Centre, which helped immensely in exceeding the campaign’s initial target of 200 bags.

Right Bite, a pioneer in customized healthy meal plan deliveries, has been known to conduct CSR programs that inspire customer engagement, making opportunities for them to help the community more accessible.

Such is the concept of the Help Us Fill the Bag campaign wherein the process of donating for customers was made easier as they just filled their empty Right Bite cooler bags with essential items needed by DFWAC and the rest of the work, including collection, delivery and distribution to the charity, undertaken by the Right Bite team.

Image (4)Shams Al Muhairy, PR and Funding Manager at DFWAC, said, “On behalf of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, we would like to thank Right Bite, and everyone, who donated, and selflessly shared what they have to make others happy.  We have so much to do to care after the needy, but partners like Right Bite, who go out of their way to extend a helping hand, inspire us to keep going.”
