Qatari women's basketball defeat Bahrain 65-40

QNA_Bahrain_Qatar04052014KUWAIT– The Qatari women’s basketball took an important step on road to win the 2nd GCC Women Basketball Championship after defeating  Bahrain 65-40 on Sunday(May 4th,2014).

The Qatari team was dominant throughout and led in all four quarters. They finished the first quarter with a four-point lead 17-13. They extended the gap to seven in the second quarter 23-16 and 20 in the third quarter 45-25. They then finished the match with a 25 point lead 65-40. 

It is the second consecutive win for the Qatari team, after beating Oman yesterday. They will face UAE tomorrow. Other games that will take place Monday are Oman vs Bahrain. 

The championship will end this Wednesday. The host country, Kuwait is taking part along with Qatar, Bahrain, UAE and Oman.-QNA
