Rob Palleschi, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts said: “Hilton Hotels & Resorts continues to build on its strong foundation in the UAE and Abu Dhabi Saadiyat Island Resort is destined to be a worthy addition to our diverse portfolio of hotels across the country.”

Hilton Abu Dhabi Saadiyat Island Resort will command a superior beachfront location and offer a range of refined and stylish amenities characteristic of the upscale Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand.  Guests can enjoy a wealth of dining and leisure options including nine different restaurants and bars, a wide range of event and meeting facilities, a health club, an outdoor pool and an eforea: Spa at Hilton, Hilton Worldwide’s exclusive spa brand designed to blend distinctive holistic treatments with specialist products sourced from natural resources.

Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Hilton Worldwide Middle East & Africa said: “I am thrilled that today’s announcement builds on our longstanding presence in the UAE, particularly in an area of the country gaining in prominence and prestige. Saadiyat Island is an inspired choice for our latest signing and, once open, will perfectly complement facilities and services at our existing hotels in the capital.”

Masterminded by Abu Dhabi Tourism Development & Investment Company, Saadiyat Island is a multi-faceted flagship destination dedicated to bringing a range of distinct, memorable experiences to guests and visitors.  Saadiyat’s holistic collection includes pristine beaches, a cosmopolitan waterfront promenade and marina as well as the famous protected mangrove and wetland reserve sanctuary, home to the endangered hawksbill turtle. Jewel in the crown of Saadiyat Island is the concentration of cultural assets which, when completed, will include Louvre Abu Dhabi, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, a performing arts centre and the National Museum – all designed by award winning, Pritzker Architecture Prize winners.

H.E. Khalaf Bin Ahmad Al Otaiba from owners Bin Otaiba Investment Group said: “Our knowledge and experience as a leading regional property developer and hospitality investment company coupled with Hilton Worldwide’s expertise as hotel operators underlines the strong and enduring relationship we have enjoyed for a number of years.  Today’s signing is crucial in further developing this beautiful area of UAE but, importantly, it also represents a springboard to launch our future plans as we seek to increase investment across a greater number of projects and add further weight and value to our growing Abu Dhabi portfolio.”
