Lexus launches supercharged LX 570 SUV with unparalleled on-road and

DUBAI– Lexus today(May 27^th) announced the launch of 200 exclusive units of the Supercharged Lexus LX 570 only for the Middle East to unveil a supremely powerful luxury SUV which is fully geared for urban traffic as well as combating the toughest off-road challenges. The supercharged LX 570’s introduction in the region also marks a major milestone for Lexus as the brand celebrates its 25^th anniversary in 2014. As with any Lexus flagship model, luxurious comfort and infotainment technology features are at their finest with this unique model which offers a perfect blend of unparalleled off-road capability, plush convenience, and everyday usability to distinguish itself from any other luxurious SUV.

For sumptuous luxury and convenience, the LX 570 comes equipped with several features. In terms of interiors, personalized comfort and craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin. The driver’s power seat features heating and available ventilation, along with 10-way adjustability. The supple leather trim is crafted from the highest-quality full-grain stocks, including available semi-aniline leather and the exclusive mahogany wood accents are individually selected for consistent color and grain.

The LX 570’s proficiency in handling heavy loads along with a smooth delivery on rough surfaces is a result of the SUV’s high-strength body-on-frame construction and incredible power output. The 5.7-litre V8 Engine with supercharger churns out 450 HP and 72.0 kg-m of Torque teamed to a six-speed automatic transmission with standard full-time four-wheel drive to achieve the largest displacement possible. Ninety percent of the peak torque comes on stream at just 2,200 rpm, making the supercharged LX 570 exceptionally responsive and incredibly strong as a tow vehicle.

The four-wheel drive system in Lexus LX 570 makes use of a Torsion limited-slip locking center differential that splits the power 40:60 under normal driving conditions. Additionally, excellent on-road agility is achieved by the rearward power bias. Without the need for any inputs from the driver, the Torsion differential can respond to changing conditions – adjusting the power distribution when necessary. With the Multi-Terrain Select system in place, the driver is able to maximize the vehicle’s performance by optimizing Active Traction Control on any given topography. From Rock, Rock & Dirt, Mogul to Loose Rock and Mud and Sand – the Lexus LX 570 can take on any kind of terrain.

The drive train also fully utilizes engine torque without any waste, smoothly accelerates through top-end speeds, and provides a powerful drive on off-road terrains. This results in an exciting driving experience behind the wheels, which is increased manifold under various scenarios encompassing both off-road and on-road situations.

Coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift switches and a 32-valve, DOHC engine with dual Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence (VVT-i), the driving experience in this model is nothing short of a power-packed affair, which also lets the driver enjoy a stress-free transition when switching from low to high speeds. The LX 570 has an electronically-controlled six-speed automatic transmission that delivers a superior response and a smooth gear shift feeling that can sense road conditions and predict the driver’s intention to switch into the appropriate gear ratio, according to the vehicle’s speed and driving conditions. Alternatively, a sequential shift mode also gives the driver the option to manually select the gears. Even at low speeds, the transmission operates smoothly and gradually.

Another high performance feature that Lexus LX 570 boasts is the Crawl Control System with the driver-selectable low range for the transmission, which is usually absent in other luxury SUVs. This attribute provides low-speed crawling capability for handling steep off-road declines efficiently. Shifting into low range engages Active Height Control, which serves to achieve increased ground clearance of two inches by raising the vehicle.

The Crawl Control feature along with Turn Assist and Hill-start Assist Control boost the vehicle’s low-range capability. To help maintain a steady slow and even pace on steep declines or while maneuvering over rough surfaces, Crawl Control meticulously manipulates the throttle and brakes for a smoother ride. The 5-step type in the speed control allows for precision control while driving.

The Adaptive Variable Suspension system provides three models to control the spring rate and shock absorber damping force to provide optimal handling and comfort for on-road or trail driving. On extremely bumpy roads, the Comfort mode helps with a softer response and the Normal and Sport modes offer increasingly greater levels of control for driving a heavily loaded vehicle, driving at higher speeds on paved roads and maneuvering through unpaved roads.

Impeccable Exterior and Interior Design

The Lexus LX 570 embodies both power and agility. The striking L finesse cultivated in the Lexus sedan series is carried over to create the powerful L finesse of an SUV on the framework of a genuine 4WD vehicle. The Supercharged Lexus LX 570 flaunts unique black colors on the front including the radiator grille, lower grille, front bumper, headlamp and fog lamps bezel. At the rear, the black hue will enhance the looks on the rear bumper, rear combination lamps, exclusive emblem, back door garnish and sport muffler.

The Lexus LX 570 is available in four exterior colors including White Pearl Crystal Shine, Mercury Gray Mica, Platinum Silver Metallic and Starlight Black Glass Flake. For the interior Ivory, Black, Saddle Tan and Black and Garnet and Black are available along with a Red option exclusively offered for the Supercharged LX 570.

The interior speaks volumes about Lexus’s concept of the “Spirit of Hospitality”, encompassing a vast interior space and a high dynamic range in line with concepts of “calmness” and “excitement”. Enhancing the looks further are wood grained and metal plated ornamentation additions. Overall, a high quality finish creates an attractive feel and a sense of visual luxury, with the smooth flowing surface configuration and meticulous focus on every detail.

On the inside too several features have been exclusively rolled out for the Supercharged LX 570. From aluminum sport pedal for the accelerator and brake and the Smart Key feature, to a large metal plate with the Supercharger logo and illumination arranged on the inner scuff plate, the Supercharged LX 570 is an expression of Lexus’s high quality.
