Kuwait qualifies to semi-final of W. Asia Wheelchair Basketball Championship

630c4d4b-dcf6-4eb2-b486-b39c1f8b546fKUWAIT- Kuwait wheelchair basketball team qualified to semi-final of 6th the West Asia Championship, currently held in Dubai, after beating Syria 75-37 earlier on Sunday(May 11th).

Team captain Yousef Khalaf expressed great happiness over the win to KUNA by phone “which would bring us closer to qualify to the Asian Games.” The top three teams will qualify to the Olympic Games in South Korea next October.

Kuwait will go against Saudi Arabia tomorrow at the conclusion of Group A matches.
The tourney will last until May 14, with Group A including Kuwait, Palestine, Syria and Saudi Arabia, while Group B includes Iraq, the UAE, Oman and Jordan. -KUNA
