RAS AL KHAIMAH, United Arab Emirates — Ras Al Khaimah Ruler Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi has received India’s Consul-General to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Satish Kumar Sivan, during a farewell meeting marking the conclusion of his diplomatic tenure.
The meeting reflected the longstanding relationship between the UAE and India, with discussions focused on cooperation and the strong connections between the two countries.
Sheikh Saud praised Sivan’s efforts in supporting bilateral relations and strengthening engagement between Indian and Emirati communities during his time in office. He also wished the diplomat success in his future assignments.
Sivan expressed his appreciation for the support and hospitality extended during his tenure, highlighting the close partnership between India and the UAE.
The UAE and India share broad cooperation across trade, investment, tourism, education and cultural exchange. India remains one of the UAE’s largest economic partners, while a significant Indian community continues to contribute to the country’s social and economic development.
The Northern Emirates, including Ras Al Khaimah, have maintained close links with Indian businesses, professionals and residents through growing commercial and cultural ties.
The farewell meeting comes as both countries continue to expand cooperation under their broader strategic partnership, with future collaboration expected across multiple sectors.
