Madina, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia has introduced a new digital platform designed to help visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah access important information before and during their visits.
The initiative, launched by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, aims to improve visitor services through technology and provide easier access to guidance and facilities.
The platform is available through the authority’s official website and includes several digital tools intended to support worshippers in navigating the mosque complex.
Among the features is an interactive map that provides updated details about facilities and service locations, helping visitors identify key areas more easily.
The platform also includes live crowd monitoring services for routes leading to areas where visitors offer salutations to the Prophet Muhammad, allowing worshippers to check congestion levels before arriving.
Another feature provides updates on prayer area availability, helping visitors choose suitable times and locations for worship based on current conditions.
Additional services include a visitor assistance portal, the Manarat Al Haramain platform, a worshipper guidance section and a children’s hospitality centre.
The authority said the digital services are part of Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to expand smart solutions and improve the overall experience for visitors to Islamic holy sites.
Madinah’s Prophet’s Mosque receives millions of visitors each year, particularly during peak religious seasons, making crowd management and digital accessibility key areas of focus for Saudi authorities.
The new platform is expected to support smoother visitor movement and provide more convenient access to services as the Kingdom continues investing in technology-driven solutions across tourism and religious sectors.
