Etisalat first in the world to bring Samsung Galaxy K Zoom to UAE customers

ABU DHABI- Etisalat, the UAE’s leading telecoms provider, announced the exclusive launch of the Samsung Galaxy K Zoom today (4 June), ahead of any telecom operator world over. The new device is available to customers for free with smartphone packages that start from AED 250 a month and include loads of data allowance and flexible minutes for local, international and incoming roaming calls.

Customers can choose from a range of competitive date and voice package options to complement the advantages of Etisalat’s flexible add-on features that are designed to meet varying customer requirements. The device is available in white and black, with blue coming soon across Etisalat’s Business and Service Centres and key retail outlets in the UAE.

Zoom 2GALAXY K zoom’s new retracting lens technology makes the 10x optical zoom and the 20.7MP sensor, powerful yet remarkably slim, giving users the sharpness of real optics in a chic body. Its Pinch Zoom and one-touch Quick Zoom are added features that add to the delight of using the device. It is powered by a six-core Samsung Exynos processor and runs Android 4.4 KitKat.

Post-paid customers can opt from one of the three plans available to them: a free device on an 18-month contract plan for AED250 with 1GB data and 100 flexi minutes or for AED400 per month with 10GB data and 300 minutes. Alternatively, users can get an AED500 upfront discount on the cost of the device on a 12-month package. The discounted price is AED1,599 for a monthly rental cost of AED250, and each comes with 10GB data and 300 flexi minutes.

The half-phone, half-camera hybrid can also be purchased on prepaid package for AED 2,099 with 1GB free data allowance for the first month and for AED99 per month thereafter.

The unique offer is in line with Etisalat’s recent strategy of offering attractive packages for smartphone users. Customers will also be able to take advantage of Etisalat’s 4G LTE network, which covers 85 per cent of the inhabited area of the country and allows users of 4G phones to connect to the UAE’s fastest Internet at speeds up to 150 Mbps.
