DUBAI — Dubai has launched a global initiative to train one million people in artificial intelligence prompt engineering, as the emirate steps up efforts to position itself as a leading hub for AI talent and innovation.
The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) continues registrations for “One Million Prompters,” a programme designed to equip participants worldwide with practical skills in AI prompt engineering, one of the fastest-growing disciplines in the AI economy.
Described by organisers as the world’s largest initiative dedicated to AI prompt engineering, the programme is open to students, professionals, entrepreneurs and creators from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
Four online modules
The self-paced online programme consists of four modules, each taking about one hour to complete.
The first module, “Unleashing the Power of AI,” introduces the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, generative AI and prompt literacy. The second, “Commanding Conversations with AI Chatbots,” focuses on advanced prompting techniques for interacting effectively with AI systems.
The third module, “AI-Powered Productivity Revolution,” demonstrates how AI can be integrated into everyday professional workflows to improve efficiency, while the fourth, “Creative Frontiers with Generative AI,” explores the use of AI in creative fields such as art, music and video production.
Participants who successfully complete all four modules will receive an accredited certificate in AI prompt literacy.
Launched in 2025, the initiative aims to train one million people over the next three years through interactive, hands-on learning. Registration is open globally through the programme’s official website.
LinkedIn Learning access for creatives
In a separate initiative, Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, in partnership with LinkedIn, has launched the seventh edition of its e-Learning Initiative, offering eligible creative professionals free access to more than 24,000 online courses.
This year’s programme provides 2,000 licences for entrepreneurs and creatives working in animation, digital media, design, photography, cinematography, performing arts, writing and content production.
The courses cover career development, business skills, design, photography, animation, creative writing and generative AI, with a particular focus on helping creative professionals incorporate AI tools into their work and expand their businesses.
Eligible Dubai-based applicants can register through Dubai Culture’s website, with applications subject to review before approval.
The two initiatives underscore Dubai’s broader strategy to expand AI literacy and practical digital skills across both the technology and creative sectors as it seeks to strengthen its position as a regional and global centre for artificial intelligence.
