UAE fuel prices increase from September 1

DUBAI: UAE motorists will pay higher prices for petrol and diesel from September 1 after the UAE Fuel Price Committee announced the new monthly retail rates on Sunday.

Super 98 petrol will be priced at Dh3.80 per litre in September, compared with Dh3.60 in August. Special 95 will cost Dh3.69 per litre, up from Dh3.49, while E-Plus 91 will rise to Dh3.61 per litre from Dh3.41.

Diesel will be priced at Dh4.30 per litre, compared with Dh3.80 in August.

For a 50-litre fill, motorists using Super 98 will pay Dh190 in September, compared with Dh180 in August. The same quantity of Special 95 will cost Dh184.50, while E-Plus 91 will cost Dh180.50.

A 50-litre diesel refill will cost Dh215 in September, compared with Dh190 in August.

The new rates represent increases of between 5.56 per cent and 5.87 per cent across the three petrol grades. Diesel has increased by about 13.16 per cent from the August rate.

The UAE reviews retail fuel prices every month under its pricing mechanism, with rates reflecting movements in global energy markets. The revised September prices will apply at fuel stations across the country from Tuesday, September 1.
