Dedicated éclair boutique,‘Eclair’, launches in Dubai

DUBAI- Originating in the 19th century from noble ranks, the delicate éclair pastry has been reimagined by the team behind new dessert brand Eclair. From its new boutique-style café in JLT, Eclair has catapulted the traditional pastry onto Dubai’s fashionable 21st century scene.

In the same way cupcakes and macarons have become de rigeur in recent years, the éclair is now taking the spotlight and is set to be a must-have sweet-fix for fashionistas and foodies alike.

Eclair offers a selection of 12 delicious flavours; from the traditional to the avant-garde which are available either in-store or online, making it the perfect treat for you or loved ones.

Commenting on the launch of Eclair, Co-Founder Dianne Salem said, “We hope that our first JLT boutique will be one of many across Dubai as we prove to be a hit with the style conscious residents across the city and beyond. We are committed to providing quality and are confident our customers will be more than impressed with the fresh and innovative flavours we will have on offer. We look forward to catering to the many lavish dinner parties, birthdays, weddings and other events across Dubai, or simply to the individual customer who needs a little something to brighten their day.”

Operations Manager, Gildas Winter added, “The éclair has a long history stretching back to the time of Marie Antoinette but today we are bringing this exquisite dessert into contemporary times. After a significant amount of trial and research, we now have 12 wonderful flavours from the fruity to the classic, all of which are made with only the finest of ingredients. With control of our central production facility we will remain committed to the highest quality of standards in the making of our éclairs.”

Dedicated to offering top-notch éclairs, the master executive chef behind the stylish new brand is French native patissier, Bertrand Espouy.

Coming from a background in the arts, Chef Bertrand has turned his lifelong passion for food into his career, lending his creative flair to the many wonderful and varied flavours Eclair has to offer.

From the classic milk chocolate to the dark chocolate éclair, to more experimental flavours such as salted caramel and Japanese green matcha tea, Chef Bertrand has worked laboriously in the ‘Eclairium’ to ensure there really is something for everyone.

Committed to using only the finest and most carefully sourced ingredients, customers can rest assured they will be in foodie heaven with the tiniest of bites.

Each éclair is carefully handcrafted, with the team utilising pure fruit pulp for the fruity flavours, which include raspberry, lemon and blackcurrant and violet.

The other more traditional flavours such as vanilla are made using Tahitian vanilla beans, while the coffee flavoured éclair is made with pure Arabica coffee beans. Eclair sources its milk chocolate from Ghana, while dark chocolate is sourced from Valrhona.

Eclair offers its desserts in two sizes – a bite sized mini edition and a 13 inch, regular sized version. They come beautifully packaged in a stylish gold branded box making it the perfect gift.
