The prize, now in its 18th year, invites enterprises, nonprofits and high schools to submit innovative sustainability solutions across health, food, energy, water and climate action categories.

It has impacted over 400 million people through projects expanding access to clean energy, water, food and healthcare, according to organisers.

Winners in the five organisational categories will receive $1 million each, while global high schools win $150,000.

All finalists now receive financial support, with $1.3 million committed to them starting from the 2026 cycle.

The deadline for applications is June 15, 2026. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in 2027.
