UAE opens new round of teaching, admin jobs

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates (GDM) — The UAE Ministry of Education has opened applications for a new round of educational and administrative positions, inviting both Emirati citizens and expatriates to apply through its official recruitment platform as part of efforts to strengthen staffing standards and improve learning outcomes across the public school system.

The ministry said the vacancies span a broad range of academic disciplines and administrative functions, reflecting continued reforms aimed at raising performance benchmarks and aligning schools with the country’s long-term education strategy.

Vacancies announced

Teaching roles are available in Arabic, English, mathematics and science, as well as kindergarten. Posts have also been announced for art education and physical education teachers for female students.

In addition to classroom roles, the ministry is seeking digital department managers, underscoring the government’s push to expand technology-led learning, digital governance and innovation within schools.

Specialist positions are open for drama teachers. Applicants for these posts must hold a bachelor’s degree in acting, directing, theatre or performing arts, according to the ministry.

Academic, experience and age criteria

To qualify, applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field and have a minimum of two years’ teaching experience.

Candidates are required to demonstrate fluency in both Arabic and English, including written and spoken communication skills, reflecting the bilingual framework adopted across many public schools.

The ministry said a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required. For certain roles, the upper age limit has been set at 55 years.

Language testing and licensing

As part of its quality assurance framework, applicants must hold an IELTS General score of at least 6.5.

Successful candidates will also be required to obtain a professional practice licence within two years of appointment, in line with national teacher licensing regulations designed to standardise qualifications and classroom competency.

Application process

Interested candidates must apply through the ministry’s official recruitment portal by creating an account, uploading required documents, completing personal information and CV details, selecting the appropriate vacancy and submitting the application online.

The ministry said the recruitment campaign is part of ongoing efforts to attract qualified professionals capable of supporting the long-term development of the UAE’s education sector and enhancing student outcomes nationwide.
