SHARJAH, United Arab Emirates (WAM) — The deputy ruler of Sharjah launched new digital judicial systems Wednesday, aiming to accelerate legal procedures and enhance transparency.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, chairman of the emirate’s Judicial Council, said the integrated electronic system represents a “qualitative leap” for the litigation system.
The systems provide digital services across courts and the public prosecution, allowing users to submit requests, access information and make electronic payments through registered accounts.
Officials highlighted several initiatives, including “Athar” for legal awareness, an AI-supported “Preventive Justice for the Family” program for dispute resolution, and a “Virtual Legal Translator” for documents.
Sheikh Sultan also witnessed the signing of partnership agreements to support the judicial sector’s development and digital transformation.
The briefing included statistics on human resources, Emiratisation rates and future plans to develop the judicial infrastructure.
