DUBAI, United Arab Emirates — The UAE Council for Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain has launched the third edition of the UAE AI Award, with a new focus on Agentic AI and its role in improving government performance, services and community well-being.
The award is designed to recognize organizations and individuals using advanced AI systems to help shape the next phase of government transformation in the UAE. Officials say the initiative supports a broader national push to integrate Agentic AI across half of government sectors, services and operations.
Omar Sultan Al Olama, minister of state for artificial intelligence, said the government is working to expand the use of Agentic AI across public life and create a model in which AI works alongside people rather than simply as a digital tool.
He said the award sets a national benchmark for innovation by recognizing projects that deliver measurable results and strengthen the UAE’s global competitiveness.
This year’s award includes five categories. They are Excellence in Agentic AI-Powered Services, which recognizes entities that have used AI to improve service delivery and customer experience; Agentic AI Solutions Developed in the UAE, which highlights locally built solutions; and Best Government-Private Partnership in Agentic AI, which honors collaborative projects with real impact.
The other categories are Agentic AI Scientific Research, which recognizes work that advances both knowledge and practical application, and AI Leader, which celebrates individuals driving AI adoption within their organizations.
Federal and local government entities, semi-government organizations, private companies, academic institutions and individuals can apply through the award’s official website. Full details on categories, criteria and the application process are available online.
The UAE AI Award has become one of the country’s flagship innovation initiatives. Organizers said the first two editions drew more than 540 applications from a wide range of sectors, reflecting strong momentum behind AI adoption in the UAE.
