Dubai: Liverpool F.C. Retail in partnership with The BootRoom Collection, celebrated the official launch of its first stand-alone store, The Official Liverpool FC Store, in The Dubai Mall. With former LFC player Luis Garcia in attendance, Liverpool FC fans had the exciting opportunity to meet the famous Winger/Attacking Midfielder during a special in-store signing and photography session in front of the “This is Anfield” sign – as the players do on match day.
The 2004–05 UEFA Champions League Trophy replica, that was won by Liverpool FC and himself at that time, was also on display in-store throughout the day for fans to have photos with. Furthermore, all in attendance were treated to live music with many members of the crowd breaking into popular Liverpool FC songs throughout the evening and the famous “Sangria Song” serenaded to Garcia as he arrived at the store.
Former Reds player, Luis Garcia, said: “Liverpool FC gets so much support from our fans in Dubai and we have an incredible following there, so it was fantastic to have the opportunity to visit the new store and meet the fans that make this Club so great. I really enjoyed attending this celebratory event.”
