House of Wisdom Launches Summer Camps to Inspire Creativity, Connection and Heritage in Sharjah

SHARJAH, United Arab Emirates – June 30, 2025 – The House of Wisdom (HoW) in Sharjah is set to launch a new edition of its annual summer camp this July and August, reaffirming its commitment to transforming summer into a season of learning, exploration and joy.

Following the strong turnout and enthusiastic response in 2024, this year’s program will feature three distinct camp experiences tailored for different age groups. Each camp combines technology, the arts and creative thinking to create a dynamic learning environment that sparks curiosity and encourages exploration.

The camps will offer a diverse range of activities, including interactive storytelling, hands-on experiments, arts and crafts, and educational games. Designed to merge learning with play, the initiative aims to leave children with lasting memories while nurturing essential life skills.

Marwa Al Aqroubi, executive director of HoW, expressed excitement about continuing what she called a signature element of the institution’s educational and cultural programming.

“Our Arab heritage is a treasure trove of timeless stories and cultural symbols that continue to inspire and influence generation after generation,” Al Aqroubi said. “Bringing these narratives to life through contemporary methods and technology gives today’s children the chance to connect with their roots in ways that feel fresh, relevant and accessible.”

She added that in a world where children are increasingly isolated by screens, the camp aims to “reintroduce the wonder of real-world connection.”

“These camps are designed to nurture essential skills, cultivate collaboration and initiative, and build a generation that knows how to balance knowledge with joy, and heritage with innovation,” she said.
