ONE Championship returns to Qatar in 2027

DOHA, Qatar — Qatar will continue hosting ONE Championship events for the next three years, extending a sports partnership that has helped position the country as a destination for major combat-sports nights.

Visit Qatar and ONE Championship said the renewed agreement will bring multiple flagship events to Doha, featuring world title bouts and fighters from across the Middle East and beyond. The cards will include mixed martial arts, Muay Thai, kickboxing and submission grappling.

The first event under the new deal is set for March 26, 2027, at Aspire Dome.

Organizers say the series is meant to do more than fill an arena. It is expected to attract international visitors, generate global attention and add to Qatar’s profile as a place that can host large-scale sporting spectacles.

The renewed partnership builds on the success of ONE 166 in 2024 and ONE 171 in 2025, both of which helped establish a strong local following for the promotion in Qatar.

Hua Fung Teh, co-founder and group president of ONE Championship, said the organization is eager to bring its fighters back to Qatar and expects the collaboration to deliver a premium experience for both athletes and fans.

For travelers in the UAE and across the GCC, the Doha events could become an easy short-trip option for live sports fans looking for a weekend away.

Ticket details and further event announcements are expected in the coming months, with more information likely to follow as the 2027 opener approaches.
