Etihad Airways and UAE Ministry of Higher Education Forge Strategic Partnership

ABU DHABI– Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has entered into a strategic partnership with the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) to bolster the National Scholarship Programme and facilitate the seamless integration of Emirati graduates into the job market.

Under this collaboration, Etihad Airways will provide scholarship recipients with comprehensive support, including hands-on training, career guidance, and continuous mentorship throughout their educational journey. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic studies and practical employment, ensuring that Emirati students are well-prepared to meet the demands of the evolving job market.

The partnership aligns with the UAE’s broader objectives to enhance the employability of its citizens and to foster a knowledge-based economy. By integrating academic learning with real-world experience, the programme seeks to cultivate a skilled and adaptable workforce capable of contributing to various sectors, including aviation, technology, and services.

Etihad Airways has a longstanding commitment to the development of Emirati talent. The airline’s initiatives, such as the Cadet Pilot Programme and the Airport Management Programme, have been instrumental in providing UAE nationals with opportunities to pursue careers in aviation and related fields. These programmes offer structured training and development pathways, enabling participants to acquire the necessary skills and experience to excel in their chosen professions.

This partnership between Etihad Airways and MoHESR represents a significant step towards achieving the UAE’s vision of empowering its citizens through education and employment. By investing in the potential of Emirati students, the initiative not only supports individual career aspirations but also contributes to the nation’s socio-economic development.
