DUBAI-Syrian artist Manal Jarmoukly will be exhibiting her mixed media canvases under the theme “Shades of a Woman” from 17 September to 16 October 2014 in the lobby of Centro Barsha.

Manal graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Visual communication at the Damascus University and her work has been showcased in exhibitions and workshops across Syria, UAE, Iran and Turkey.Manal is not only an artist but is also the Marketing & Communications Executive of Centro Barsha by Rotana.

“At Centro Barsha we are pleased to open our doors for the third year in a row to an exclusive art exhibition. This year we have dedicated our walls to the canvases of our colleague Manal Jarmoukly, a young locally based artist with a hidden talent that would like to share with the public. Manal’s expressive paintings definitely complement the contemporary environment of our property”, says Eleni Tsolakou, General Manager of Centro Barsha.

Manal Jarmoukly explains Shades of a Woman: “Sitting in front of the canvas with my colour palette, inspiration flows from memories engraved inside of me which I translate onto the canvas by the strokes of my brush. The woman is the hero of my paintings in almost all subjects. This concept has inspired my works, and I see in her the core of life.”

The exhibition is open to the public from 17 September to 16 October 2014 and entry is free.
