DUBAI- Lebanese composer Elias Rahbani, the sensational musician,took Dubai by storm for a magical performance when he took the stage at Dubai World Trade Center on Friday 25th April, 2014.
Co-headlined by Lebanese composer Elias Rahbani with his 52 member orchestra and featuring famous Rania Al Haj, a passionate performer in the Lyrics Theater, Johnny Aouad, an Italian opera singer, Bassima, a Lebanese pop star, and Gilbert Jalkh, a famous star in Al Rahbani plays, and finally a special appearance of Ghassan Rahbani, a Lebanese singer, musician, composer, producer, actor and TV presenter. Elias Rahbani presented many of his songs at the concert, including a new song which was exclusive for Dubai titled “You are my love, Dubai.”
A family member of the coveted Rahbani’s, Elias Rahbani is a Lebanese composer, arranger, lyricist, conductor and producer. Elias Rahbani is one of the three Rahbani brothers and is probably the most prolific in terms of recordings. The musical adviser and chief of occidental music for Radio Lebanon, from 1962 until 1970, Rahbani produced numerous recordings for the Philips, Parlophone, Polydor, Decca, Capitol, and S.L.D. labels.
Elias Rahbani has composed over 800 pieces, not including musical scores for film and theater. He has also composed ballet music, classical pieces for piano, and soundtracks of over 25 films. Elias has received many accolades in his career span of over 5 decades.
