KING ABDULLAH ECONOMIC CITY, Saudi Arabia – Feb. 3, 2026 – Saudi Arabia has raised the bar for luxury tourism with the opening of Rixos Murjana, now the Kingdom’s largest ultra all-inclusive resort. Located on the Red Sea coast in King Abdullah Economic City, the massive property signals a major step in the nation’s tourism ambitions.
Developed with backing from the Tourism Development Fund, the 275,000-square-meter resort features 488 rooms, suites, and 33 villas. It operates as a self-contained destination with its own waterpark, award-winning spa, and multiple swimming pools, including what it claims are the longest in the Middle East.
Officials say the project is a direct result of the strategy behind Saudi Vision 2030. “This development elevates hospitality standards and reinforces Saudi Arabia’s position as a global destination,” said Qusai Al-Fakhri, CEO of the Tourism Development Fund.
The resort includes extensive family facilities like a supervised kids’ club, a teens’ club, and numerous dining venues. An exclusive section, Club PrivĂ© by Rixos, offers overwater villas with private butler service.
Rixos Hotels Chairman Fettah Tamince called the opening a “defining milestone,” stating the resort sets a new benchmark for all-inclusive hospitality on the Red Sea.
