SHARJAH, United Arab Emirates — Air Arabia has launched direct flights between Sharjah and London Gatwick and resumed daily services to Aleppo, marking a fresh expansion of its international and regional network.
The Sharjah-London Gatwick route began operating Saturday with two non-stop flights a day using the Airbus A321LR. The new service gives travelers a low-cost direct option between the UAE and the U.K.
According to the airline’s schedule, the outbound flight leaves Sharjah at 1:45 p.m. and arrives in London at 6:35 p.m. local time. The return flight departs London at 7:35 p.m. and lands in Sharjah at 5:50 a.m. the next day.
Air Arabia also restored daily scheduled flights between Sharjah and Aleppo on the same day. The route adds back another key connection between the UAE and Syria after years of limited service.
The Sharjah-Aleppo flight departs at 8 a.m. UAE time, while the return service leaves Aleppo at 11:35 a.m. Syria’s civil aviation authority said the route will improve air links and expand travel options for passengers.
The airline already operates 21 weekly flights between Sharjah and Damascus and plans to begin direct Abu Dhabi-Aleppo service on July 7 with three weekly flights from Zayed International Airport.
With the latest additions, Air Arabia says its network now covers more than 76 destinations in about 34 countries across its hubs in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah. The expansion strengthens the carrier’s push to widen affordable international travel options for passengers in the UAE and beyond.
